Gulf coast wetlands
This was emailed to me from a colleague:
Step 1: Fill flood controlling wetlands and build houses.
Step 2: Watch said houses fill with water and drown occupants.
Makes perfect sense to me….

A strange title for a blog? I thought so too until I realized it says it all. We are at a time when we are in need of a revolution in the way we think about and act on our environment. Global warming with ice cap melts, a rate of species extinctions almost unprecedented in history, a using up of our land, water, and natural resources that is causing problems worldwide. Is this the legacy we want to leave our children? We must demand more of ourselves, and our politicians, local and global.

No, I'm not a far left liberal. In fact I'm a little to the right on many issues. I'm a family man who attends a Catholic church every Sunday.
