A strange title for a blog? I thought so too until I realized it says it all. We are at a time when we are in need of a revolution in the way we think about and act on our environment. Global warming with ice cap melts, a rate of species extinctions almost unprecedented in history, a using up of our land, water, and natural resources that is causing problems worldwide. Is this the legacy we want to leave our children? We must demand more of ourselves, and our politicians, local and global.

I was born and raised in California and received a Master's degree in Conservation Biology from a California University. I have worked in the field in the west and in the southeastern US. No, I'm not a far left liberal. In fact I'm a little to the right on many issues. I'm a family man who attends a Catholic church every Sunday. I have had an interest in and love for nature and the environment since I can remember, and it has only grown with time.
